Holiday Hack: DIY Quick UGLY Sweater

Chances are you have an ugly sweater party coming up. Plus, you probably need an activity to keep you or your kids busy during the winter break. If you don’t feel like making a run to the thrift store to find the award winning ugly sweater you desire, just grab some Fearless Tape, craft supplies and decorations and whip one up at home.

We used:

-An oversized turtleneck sweater. You can use any sweater or sweatshirt you have laying around. The best part is, if you use Fearless Tape, you don’t have to worry about ruining the sweater.

-Tree ornaments

-Mini bows

-Tinsel

-Felt

-Fearless Tape

You can use any craft supplies or holiday decorations you have around.

We started by laying out the design we wanted on our sweater. Then, we cut the tape into smaller pieces to make it easier to work with.

If you’re using ornaments, make sure to put the tape over the hook so it’s not flopping around while you’re wearing the sweater.

Tape all of your decorations in place, make sure they’re secure, and you’re done. It’s that easy!

Fashion Hack: Keep Your Bra Straps In Place

Holiday parties are starting! It’s finally that time when we get to hang out with our awkward relatives, eat yummy food and wear fancy clothes. The last thing you want to be worrying about is your bra straps not staying in place. If you’ve ever been the weird one in the group shot trying to shove your straps up your sleeves, this trick will have you singing praises in no time.

The way you go about it will depend on your outfit, but no matter which method you choose, it’ll be easy and stress free.

If you’re going sleeveless, once you’re wearing your dress or shirt, place a strip or dot of Fearless Fashion Tape on the top of your bra strap. Next, stick the tape to the underside of the strap on your dress or shirt. This will keep your bra strap connected to the strap on your dress or shirt all night, ensuring that your bra straps will not fall down or slip out.

If you’re wearing sleeves, once you’ve put on your bra, place a strip or dot of Fearless Fashion Tape on the underside of your bra strap near the top of your shoulder and stick it in place. This will keep your bra straps up all night with no fear of them slipping down.

There ya have it, it’s that easy! Make sure you’ve got your Fearless Fashion Tape on hand by heading over to Amazon. Then you’re ready to get spiffed up and head out to that party with no fears (except maybe your sweet, but smothering, Aunt Melva).

Quick Halloween Costume Additions

Halloween is just around the corner, meaning you’re probably going to be hitting up a few parties soon. Maybe you’ve been planning your costume since last Halloween and are looking to add those last minute touches. Maybe you just remembered you have a party tonight and need something last minute. Either way, here’s a quick addition to make your costume a little creepier in no time.

What you’ll need:

1.       A pair of nylons (any color)

2.       Plastic bugs

3.       Fearless Fashion Tape

To make it happen:

1.       Put on the nylons.

2.       Put pieces of Fearless Fashion Tape on the bugs.

3.       Peel off the other side of the liner on the tape and place the bugs on the nylons.

4.       Enjoy this creepy touch to your costume.

Don’t think this tip is just for plastic bugs either, you can use this tip for pretty much anything:

  • Attach glow-in-the-dark stars to black clothing to be a night sky.
  • Attach purple or green balloons to solid color clothing to be a bundle of grapes.
  • Attach lace, feathers, spiders, etc. to a plain black dress to spice up your witch costume.
  • Attach strips of white cloth to white clothing to be a mummy.
  • Attach fake leaves to brown clothing to be a pile of leaves.

See, the possibilities are endless! We’d love to see what you do with Fearless Tape for your Halloween costume this year. You can share your costumes on our Facebook page or send them to info@fearlesstape.com

Celebrity Fall Fashion Inspiration

Is it just us or is Fall never long enough? We’re based out of Utah, meaning we’re desperately hanging onto the last little bit of Fall. Soon the snow will cover our beautiful leaves and require us to switch out our jackets for winter parkas. We figured this would be a good time to draw some Fall inspo from some of our favorite celebs. These looks highlight some of this Fall’s biggest fashion trends. Luckily, we’ll be able to carry a lot of these looks into our winter wardrobes.

Leather and Leopard

Hilary Duff (anyone else missing Lizzie McGuire?) shared this beauty on her Instagram last week. We’re loving the neutral stripes and leopard with the pop of red leather. Whether you’re sporting your leather around your waist or on your jacket this Fall, it’s pretty hard to go wrong with a statement leather piece. We’re seeing a lot of animal print lately as well. A bold jacket or bootie or even a more subtle bracelet will do.

Sneakers and Big Sweaters

Whether she’s speaking at the United Nations or stepping out on the red carpet at the Met Gala, Emma is always showing her personal style. Her biodegradable, organic wool sweater paired with white skinnies and trainers made from recycled plastic bottles prove that fashion and sustainability can go hand in hand. She also shows us that our Fall looks are not bootie exclusive. Cute sneakers are everywhere this Fall.

Loafers and Slouchy Jeans

Popsugar spotted Jennifer Aniston in this casual Fall look in September, showing us how easy it can be to add a loafer to almost any outfit. Slouchy jeans are both amazingly comfortable and amazingly cute with almost anything. The internet has been littered with articles about the wonder of the slouchy jean this Fall. If you haven’t tried them yet, you’re missing out.

Chokers

Not necessarily a Fall specific trend, but chokers are everywhere right now. The 90’s have been making a comeback for a few years, but recently the choker has come back with a vengeance. Kendall shared this matchy, matchy pic on Instagram sporting a classic black choker, a staple in many wardrobes this year.

Fall Classics, New Looks

Instyle shared Kate Hudson’s new take on some Fall classics. Some of our favorite Fall looks have been born of classics styled with today’s trends. Nothing screams Fall more than booties and flannel, shown here with a simple gray maxi and sweet leather bag. Hopefully the coffee cup contains a little pumpkin spice.
